Common Name:hedge bindweed, wild morningglory
Scientific Name: Calystegia sepium (L.) R. Br., syn. Convolvulus sepium
Family Name: Convolvulaceae - Morningglory Family

Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, reproducing by seed and creeping roots

stems - smooth, form trailing or climbing vine growth habit

leaves - alternate, petioled, triangular, sharp-pointed, squarish basal lobes leaves 1, leaves 2

flowers - white or pinkish, funnel-shaped (petals fused), two leafy bract at base; solitary, long stalked, axillary flowers 1, flowers 2
